Clockwork Corset |

This gorgeous underbust corset features a leather material with an understated cranberry vertical striping reminiscant of a long forgotten carnival or circus. And just as fantastical is the oval center window of drown leather which reveals the inner workings of the wearer! Through this window can be seen an array of seemingly functional gears against another matching, yet slightly bolder striped pattern. Perhaps in a cotton to show the more vivid color contrast. This corset also features leather straps with copper or bronzed belt hooks and holes. The two outermost straps are connected to the oval window by copper or bronzed chains similar to those on a pocketwatch. And finally, just to add that extra dose of femininity, I've featured a cranberry shaded lace that lines the top and bottoms of the corset. I hope you like it! |

Hi Plum. You know, I have been looking at your designs and I realized something that I thought I'd share. Your designs are great. I think there are women who would wear them (including me). I think the reason all of your designs are being voted down is that your actual drawings are so cartoony that it makes it difficult for us to imagine what we'd actually look like in the clothing. I had to really sit and look at them for a few minutes before I decided that they are all flattering and interesting. Don't get me wrong, the drawings are neat - just not representative of human bodies, you know? Just food for thought. Best of luck. I hope I am able to purchase your clothing sometime soon. Cheers. |

I love this design, it is very beautiful. I adore steampunk fashion and corsets too.
My only criticism is not with the design, but with the likelihood that should the design be accepted, it would not be made as a real corset - i.e. steel boned and capable of reducing the waist by 4 inches (and therefore sold by waist size).
If it were made in normal clothes sizes and boned with plastic bones unfortunately it will not look anywhere near as good as this design does. It wouldn't give that fantastic hourglass shape and would buckle and warp quite nastily :( Such is the result of plastic boned faux-corset bustiers.
If they do by some strange chance decide to make this a proper waist reducing corset then I'd snap it up straight away! Put me down for a 20 inch waist please :D |
