I changed this into a 1950s inspired evening dress. The skirt is now a very full and gathered circle skirt which falls above the knee and allows the crinoline to show. The wide waist has ruching in the front. A ruched sash is attached at the side seams and pulled to a bow or knot in the back. The bodice has a under bodice which is split via a seam in the front. Over that deeply gathered panels wrap around the sides. The sleeve caps have a deep pleat where they attach. The dress zips center back. |
