I changed this into a 1950s inspired evening dress. The skirt is now a very full and gathered circle skirt which is longer in the back. The wide waist has ruching at the side seams and the back zipper. The bodice has a under bodice which is split via a seam in the front. Over that deeply gathered panels wrap around the sides. The sleeve caps have a deep pleat where they attach. The dress zips center back.
