As far as people asking what's so great about this dress, talent of the designer aside, I have to say that it's both a perfect execution and a break from what usually gets produced. That said, I don't know that I was to end up paying $100 for it... However, I think they would be fools NOT to produce this. I can see it being a hit in the classy goth realm.

Yeah, I noticed the "bustle" part of the original after I had already commented. Sorry. It's gorgeous though, "fake" lace or not. I have a soft-spot for lace overlays...especially over nude satin. I also love long skirts.

I love this...although I'm not really sure it can be considered a "bustled" skirt. As a rule, a bustle has to protrude some from the normal fall of the fabric at the back of the waist or hips. This is more of a ruffled hobble or modified mermaid skirt. I love it though. The lace over the pinstripe is a great detail.

I love this! I don't think the fabric is "over dramatic". I'd wear this to work with a little cropped cardigan.
