Blah. it looks poorly made. All the extra stuff going on around the neckline is too much. A red dress should be simple, stunning, and flattering. this is none of those things. Fix the cut, first of all, then take away the off sholder sleeves all-together. The strap around the neck should be thinner, without the twisting, and fall all the way down the back of the dress.

I think there are two very small details that that could really save this and make it work for *any* body type. 1.) Cut the fabric on the bias sso it drapes better, and 2.) add triangular gores just below knee height on the two front seams, and maybe add two to the back as well. Doing this would give the dress the sweeping fullness at the bottom as shown in the drawing, noticable mostly when the person walks. Think of those glamorous 1930's silver screen queens in their long satin gowns...

I think the problem is that the dress doesnt fit the model. And at the same time, the model doesnt have the body to wear that kind of dress.

This photo does not do the dress justice. o 3o; I just got it recently, it's actually quite lovely. I will try and post a photo.

the way it looks on the model shows off how poorly it was made. . The shoulder straps are NOT needed

Looking at the drawing again; the lower half appears to actually be two pieces, not one like it is here.

It doesn't look like the drawing. The gown really fails when it gets to the shoulders. The drawing looks more like a strapless dress with (possibly) sheer ties/bows angled away from the shoulder (across the joint); while the finished dress just has straps with bows on the end. Also, the flow is off I think because the bodice needs for be tighter/more contoured.

This is kind of dissappointing...the drawing was so elegant. I think this would have looked much better if they hadn't twisted the fabric at the bust and halter. Still pretty, but not as pretty as the original idea I think.
