This was a cute design but something is off about the finished product. I think the white underskirt should be a little fuller; the blue should be slightly shorter (maybe just shave a couple inches off the whole thing) and the spacing needs to be tighter in the corset lacing. Also, I'd lose the d-rings (in favor of eyelets or recessed loops) - they detract. I think a revamped prototype could look less cosplay and more kawaii.

I do wish the white portion of the skirt had been fuller, like in the drawing, it would have looked less costume-like. I love Rifah's design, but the final product is a bit less to be desired. :)

Black in place of the blue and cherry print in place of the white would look AWESOME.

do agree---it's not right for everyone. And I don't really think the way this was done, that it's fit for production ^_^;...

Yeah, you have to be a star like Gwen Stefani to pull this off; you have to have your hair styled by professionals in some comic book fashion and be in a glossy music video. For any regular person, you're just gonna look like you're dressed for Halloween or a Renaissance fair.

It's not outwardly impractical, but it is a bit awkward. Obviously, this can be worn, but I think by the right person, and the right way. Overall, I don't think this would make it to production, but to say outright that it's bad is kind of pretentious.

I like how unique this is, and it would be great for certain costumes. I think this outfit would look nice in black and white as well...

It's not the design or the drawing, it's the way it was carried out, [to annon below char.]

I think another colour combo would have worked for this design. This is not an everyday outfit but for the right person and right style it will be perfect.

Just cause the drawing looks cute doesn't mean the design is any good. Looks like a cartoon character.

"tick tock tick tock.." reminds me of a longer version of gwen stefani's dress in "what you waitin' for?" video.

Sorry forgot to add that this teaches us that designs don't always translate well into real life unless adjusted and vice versa. On this one I think no Black trim outlining the sides, shoulders and hem would have worked better, and replace the black trim on the cuffs, chest and perhaps bodice with White trim.
