If you need this dress in a certain time, I wouldn't count on them to have it to you. I ordered this dress around a month ago, and I still haven't received it. It takes more than a week for the dresses to be shipped to you. Please, take caution. I'm still waiting for my order.

can i just say, this isnt a copy of a bette paige clothings dress, bette paige clothings dress is a copy of a pattern available in readers digest in the 50s. viv of holloway do the same too, im sure this is where cs got their inspiration from as these are very well publicised patterns and free for all to use. (they are english)

Just got this in last night... I LOVE IT!!!! :) The material is a bit thinner than I expected but still of nice quality. I'm sure I'll be happy about it not being thick when it's hot outside :) I would also like to make a suggestion about the back slit.... it needs to be lowered alot!!! I will have to stitch it up some or all of my goodie bits will be out for the world to see...lmao ;)

Marleen - I understand how reproduction of vintage pieces work, but this however is the exact same cut as the Bettie Page Dress. Have a look at this white BP dress here, and tell me how it is any different to the cut of CS's white sailor dress? Actually, Neither Stop Staring or Criminal Damage have anything exactly like this. Kind of similar, yeah.. but none of them are as striking of a resemblance as this and the Captain dress from Bettie Page...
Also, I'm going to assume this isn't one of the submitted designs, because if it was, there would be the design photo in the top corner of the page.

It looks a lot like the Bettie Page dress, that's true. But then this kind of style was extreely popular in the fifties, so you can't really say that Chic Star has copied the Bettie Page dress... This design is just the recreation of a popular style. Other brands have similar dresses as well, such as Stop Staring and Criminal Damage for instance.

I'm sorry, I know this is one of your most popular items, but I don't see how you have been producing it for so long as it is an exact copy of the 'Captain Dress' by Bettie Page Clothing. I don't know who submitted the original design, but they have obviously stolen the design (as you can see in the photo I have linked below) and just changed the colour of the buttons for this colour.

I first saw this on ebay and i loved it. they didnt have my size, but i found out about this site and omg i cant believe i found this dress in a good price and in my size! I was looking all over the place for this dress and it was either to high price or too small..thanks chicstar! =)
