It's a sweetheart, flare sleeved top with contrasting panels. The panels are topped with a delicate bow. The panels are also on the back. A small ribbon tie is slightly above the elbow at the top of the sleeve panel. The bust, sleeve cuffs and hemline are edged in lace.

I got this top today and must say how beautiful it is. Looks EXACTLY like my design....the red is a dark red. I think because CS shoots in a white studio with white light that the bounced light from the white wall intensifies the color....changes the color a lot. I have read other people post about the color difference in a piece that they have ordered from CS.....Well...I posted a photo of it and you will see the difference when shot in the natural sunlight.

I think that the red is the same jersey fabric as the other pieces here...lately the photos for the red pieces seem overly bright and almost garish BUT if it is the same fabric as the other red jersey tops here then it will be a darker red like Lacing-Up Corset Lace Top Blouse. I hope so anyway!

I love the gothic/romantic look, but in my opinion there are far too much bows. This is the only thing that really bothers me in this design. Regarding the red fabric, I prefer the one used for Mary's "Contrast Swing Dress", I believe it could make an interesting contrast with the plain black jersey used here. I think I'm going to bid on it. Correctly accessorized, and possibly altered, it could be an interesting garment.

I don't see any problem regarding the material. Actually I think it looks less "Halloween" than a lot of other fabrics here. This material is more wearable than all the shiny ones. It looks "Halloween" because the design itself is very special (no offense intended, I find it very nice). However, it could be interesting to use a darker red to make the contrast less striking...
