As far as I'm concerned, I really like the result (except for the ruffles that look a bit weird in this place). Yes, the length was intended to be mid-calf, but there are already plenty of mid-calf dresses and not much ankle-length. It's very practical for those ladies who want to look feminine but who don't like to show their legs (like me :D ). Just remove the ruffles, and it looks better than the original (for my own personal taste).

Chicstar really botched this one. Totally off across the board...and the ruffle at the hip- terrible! Not flattering for plus girls at all. What were they thinking?? No offense to the designer.

This wasn't a floor length dress and there was no ruffle indicated on the hip. There was a seam drawn to show the gathered skirt. So sad
