NEVER was it my intention to offend the designer, and definately I was not meant to be "MEAN". I just spontaneously said that for me this is an ugly dress. But indeed it was taken as a personal attack and that was not what I had in mind. As I wrote my comment I did not even looked who designed it, because that was totally beside the matter. But maybe because I am European( Belgium) and Englisch is not my home language I did not know how to cover my comment in a bonbon wrap :) But I still think that if a designer cannot deal with a critical note or remark about his/her design you must not bring them in a public community.

Christina said "in my humble opinion this is such an ugly dress, not charming or flattering at all" I can see how this could have come off a little hurtful. But i can also see how innocent of a comment it was. A better way to phrase it would have been if she had said "I am not a fan of this dress, the look is not for me" because while one person might think its ugly, another might think it looks beautiful. I am one of those that LOVES this dress, but i can see how some people might not like it.

Christina said she didn't like the DRESS - her comment was not meant as a personal attack towards the DESIGNER. It's a pity Anna Catherine took it so personally, as I'm sure it wasn't meant this way... It's true, what would be the point of the forum if only positive remarks are allowed? Everybody has a different style, different body type, different taste, so it's normal some people will like a design and others won't. I believe everybody has the right to state his opinion, as long as it is done in a constructive, respectful way, and not as a personal attack to the designer.

Some people just take negative comments in a different way, more harshly. I don't even know how many protos on here have a few straight up negative comments(ex. Retro Side Button Dress, Accordian Pleated Sleeve dress, even my design Tulip Buckle Dress) and it wasn't a big deal like this. I think we have a right to say when we don't like something.. I'm really sorry Anna Catherine that it upset you so much. All that matters is that you know you're a great designer, and a lot of people will back you up on that. But with prototypes, people get to see what the dress would look in reality and they're not fond of it. Nothing more. Nevertheless, keep up the creative work =]

You are a human being, you have the right to like or dislike an item. If you have a constructive comment to add about this dress so that it can be even improved, it's OK. But if you say you don't like it only to say you don't like it, you can keep it for yourself as well. I understand you, I'm not such a fan of this dress neither (and since this dress didn't score 100%, you can deduce that there are some other people that don't like it too), but since I have nothing interesting to say about it, I just keep my personal opinion for myself, and everything is OK for everyone. That's all.

Congrats to you anyway Anna...I know we cannot like all the dresses alike, but this was jurk my opnion, I am more in for the Victorian en Steampunk styles and so are my costumers. But they are hard to find in plus sizes....
