Formal Style Coat Dress 'Runway'
This dress has the benefit of a formal yet dressy full length blazer style coat, over a cute/hot mini dress. Sexy whilst smart and with coverage. The dress buttons up at the front (matching buttons on the cuffs), as seen on the outer layer (on the bust there should be discreet hooks), that way the dress can be either stepped into or put on over the head. In terms of fabric - the sweetheart bust is a faux bust, it's not a full top underneath. It's just two front pieces sewn to the inner side of the 'outer coat' to make it look like an inner layer. This way it's all really one layer and doesn't get hot. The skirt is sewn under the the seam for the peplum section, that way there won't be more than one visible seam. The lower section of the coat dress is draped. I would like shoulder pads if CS has them, I think they would add to the formal basis of this design and keep the arms straight as well as wide enough for those concerned about their upper arms. They could also be easily be removed
Material: CS choice - not poplin.

For sure and my fav in the set. Not convinced about the pockets however - would add a third layer of fabric at the hips. Too glam a design for pockets, hidden or otherwise. Good luck Dolly

I really like this series Dolly. I think it is very dramatic and striking. I think a slightly shorter version as Mariah mentioned would be a great idea. I also think that the top would make a really pretty coat if you took off the under skirt and had it button all the way down. But the whole design, is very pretty as is without any alteration.

Dolly, I like this but think the back skirting is a little too long, maybe right at the end of the underskirt would be more practical?
