The translation from design to prototype is beautiful. I?m really impressed with the results. The proportions, cut and tailoring are skillfully executed. Even the buttons match marvelously with this jacket. Although the color and fabric choice varied from my own, overall, it?s spot on with my design. Bravo, Chic Star! And thank you, everyone!

I actually think this came out very nice. Since the original design didn't seem to indicate a mix of fabrics (that I noticed) it seems rather true. The shape is also nicely fitted which would allow for someone to have it personally altered if needed as some people may want this looser to layer in a thicker shirt underneath. The only thing off looking to me is the back looks too short.

The proportions for this jacket are good, however, what is missing from this is a flawless tailored look. The construction is too baggy and this is described as "close-fitting". And, of course, let's not forget the lack of color! Black, black, black, BLAH!

They also could have used satin since they can use both sides of it... like this kind...http://chicstar.com/storefront/listproducts.aspx?Plus-Size-Lace-Flare-Top&id=10904 I have a few pieces made of this and I think it would had work... but still I like the cut of the design.

It's okay. Not as elegant as the design though. :| @Rachael S. That's weird. I've worked with satin before, and, while it is a bit of a tricky fabric to work with, it can be sewn to other fabrics. I guess CS just wants to keep with the fabrics that they know and are easy to work with. -shrugs-

message was cut off, they said satin could not be sewn to other fabrics

some of my designs came out so ugly and when asked why they said they could not sew stetchy fabric to cotton or satin to regular fabric. Well I have seen AOT of that lately so ...I dunno....

Just a tad of contrast of satin like the designer wanted would have made this a winner, like this...well I'm gunna pass!

Maybe the choice of material, this seems thin to me even if there is a lining...

Augh, how disappointing. This is just... well, lumpy and misshapen. Not sure if it's the lack of contrast, or the fact that they've paired it with mom jeans... but not a fan. :(
